An exhibition of flower paintings at

Willesden Green Underground Station London NW2

August - September 2017

...hold the memory of the flowers,

because the flowers do not last forever...

I was asked to exhibit in a small space at Willesden Green Underground Station (London NW2) which was a disused florist shop. It was kind of sad that a place that had once had new flowers every day was then empty. So I decided to fill the space with pictures of flowers, in memory of all the flowers that once had been there! The exhibition opened on Saturday 19 August 2017 and ran till the end of September.

Comments

"I liked it so much I bought both a print and a t-shirt!"

Frances L, London, England

"What a beautiful idea and what beautiful paintings! Gareth has captured the transitory quality of the blooms - very Buddhist!"

Dorothy E, Chiang Mai, Thailand

"I enjoyed seeing the paintings on-line but will visit the exhibition for a better look! Well done!"

Thelma S, London, England

"I was in London on Tuesday so, after lunch, with a mate, jumped on the tube and up to Willesden Green; Gareth's art looked wonderful in the corner window. I popped my head into the florist and said, 'could you say a friend, David, had been up...?'"

David M, Weybridge, England
